The Titular Feast of Our Lady of Dolours at Bela Church.

Our Lady of Dolours Church, Bela, celebrated the Titular feast of Our Lady of Dolours, the patron of the parish, on 18th September 2022. Rev. Fr. Anil Avild Lobo, the Principal of St. Mary's College, was the main celebrant for the feast along with the parish priest, Rev. Fr. Stany Pereira, concelebrated the Holy Eucharist. Liturgy was conducted by the Catholic Sabha.

Rev. Fr. Stany Pereira conveyed the greetings of Feast to all the parishioners and thanked and honoured all the parishioners who helped financially through cash and kind in celebrating the feast with candles as sign of gratitude. Soon After the festal mass, the breakfast was severed to all the parishioners.

Thereafter, ICYM of Bela unit organized "FESTA DABAZO" a day of entertaining activities for Bela Parishioners on the occasion of Titular Feast of the parish patron, Mother of Sorrows, with the "Inter - Ward Tug of War & Flower Vase making Competitions" and 'the open to all' entertaining games like "Bombing the city & Pot breaking" at Our Lady of Dolours church ground, Bela. The programme was also coupled with the Prize distribution of the 'The Talent war' the competitions in artistic skills, held in the previous weeks.

The day's program began with flash mob dance performance which enthralled the audience and later continued with the inaugural programme of 'Festa Dabazo'.

The ICYM Bela President, Mr. Glen Dsouza, welcomed the gathering. Sr. Mercelline Braggs SCCG. (the Superior of Capitanio Convent) and Asst. Director ICYM , Fr. Anil Avild Lobo expressed few words of appreciation for ICYM. The parish priest, Fr Stany Pereira, too expressed admiration for ICYM activities and thanked the sponsors. The other dignitaries on the dais were Mr. John Crasta, Vice President of Parish Pastoral Council, Mrs Jyoti DSouza, Secretary of Parish Pastoral Council, Bro. Vinol, Regent and Sr Annie Charanghat O.P., the superior of St Dominic Convent, were the other dignitaries.

The program then continued with prize distribution. Later the Secretary of ICYM Bela, Benita Crasta, proposed a vote of thanks.

After the inaugural ceremony the aforementioned entertaining games were held consequently. The flower vase making was held simultaneously. A good number of participants joyfully participated in the events.The prizes were distributed to the winners of the different events at the end.

People celebrated the Titular Feast with devotion, fun and gaiety.
