St Mary's College celebrated it's Decennial Celebration on 27.05.2022.
St. Mary’s College Bela which was established in the year 2011was recognized by the Govt. of Kerala & affiliated to Kannur University in the year 2014. The college mainly caters to the educational needs of the students in an effective and efficient manner. A large number of students from different regions of Kasaragod district presently pursue B. Com., B.B.A. and M. Com. courses in this prestigious institution without discrimination of any religion.
Ten years is a remarkable indicator of success for this institution which has found success in educating the rural students who otherwise had to travel far and wide to fulfil their dreams of graduating from good institute.
The Decennial occasion was clubbed with the inauguration and blessing PG Block and Auditorium and the Inauguration of Alumni Association. Rt Rev Msgr Lawrence Maxim Noronha, The Vicar General of Mangalore Diocese, inaugurated and blessed the new structures along with Rev Fr Vincent Dsouza, the pioneer of this college along with the other dignitaries.
Fr Vincent DSouza, the first correspondent who envisioned this college and worked hard to make a reality putting up building and necessary infrastructure was felicitated at this occasion. The donors who generously contributed towards the expenses of the renovation works were honoured at this occasion. The former correspondents , former principals and those who helped the college in the ways possible were gratefully remembered.
Rev Fr Anil Avild Lobo the principal, led from the front in the beautiful renovation project of the college by collecting donations and overseeing the work and in organizing this memorable event with Mr Vincent DSouza, the Vice Principal and the staff and students. The cultural programme that followed offered the students to exhibit their artistic talents.
