The Vespers on the eve of the Annual Feast in which the parishioners come together to pray for the success of Feast is another beautiful feature of tradition connected to the Annual Feast.
The Vespers (ಬೆಸ್ಪ್) was observed on 14th February 2023 in Bela Church. The vespers ceremony started at 7.00p.m. The Priests, people and the choir joined in reciting the antiphons, singing psalms and ‘Magnificat’. It was followed by the Eucharistic celebration. Rev. Fr. Anil Prakash D'silva, the Parish Priest of Kumbla was the main celebrant of the mass along with Fr Stany Pereira, the parish priest, Fr Anil Avild Lobo and the Priests from the deanery and a few guest priests.
The statue of Our lady of Dolours was devoutly carried on palanquin in a procession after the mass accompanied by people. There was a special ceremony of praying over the people after the procession.
Parish Priest thanked all the priests and the people who took part in the ceremony. ICYM and YCS units had put up stalls of games of entertainment and ice cream.
