Poyyakard Ward (St Peter) celebrates its Annual Feast

Poyyakad Ward members celebrated the feast of their ward patron St Peter on 9th June 2024. The Thanksgiving Mass was celebrated at 7:00 AM by Rev. Fr Rock Ravi Fernandes. The Ward members conducted the liturgy in a meaningful way.

The celebration took place at the residence of Mrs Alice Lobo. It began with a prayer service at 12 PM. Rev. Fr Stany Pereira, Parish Priest of Bela Parish, Bro. Aaron D'Souza, Regent at Bela, Sr Lissy, Sr Florine, Mr Cyril Crasta, PPC Vice-President, and Mrs Cicilia D'Souza, PPC Secretary, Mr Joseph D Souza, Ward Gurkar, Mr Vivian Crasta and Mrs Shanthi Crasta, PPC ward representatives and the ward members were present for the celebration. The children and youth of the parish entertained everyone with their dance and singing performances. Mr Cyril Crasta thanked the ward members for their service towards the parish. Mrs Shanthi Crasta presented the Annual report. Senior members of the ward and meritorious students in the board exams were felicitated. Several entertaining games were conducted during the program. Rev. Fr Stany Pereira addressed the gathering, appreciating the ward members for their good works during the year and gave a short message on the occasion. The Voluntary Fund of Rs 5000-/- that was collected during the year by the ward members was handed over to the Parish priest for the building of the Kallathuru Chapel. Mr. Joseph D'Souza, the ward Gurkar, proposed the vote of thanks. Ms Jancy Teena Sanctis compered the programme. The celebration concluded with a festal meal.
