Puthige (St Lawrence) Ward celebrates its Annual Feast

Puthige Ward members celebrated the feast of their ward patron St Lawrence on 18th August 2024. The Thanksgiving Mass was celebrated at 7:30 a.m. by Rev. Fr Stany Pereira. The Ward members conducted the liturgy well.

The celebration took place at the residence of Mr. Marcel Crasta. SCC Meeting with 7 steps method was held prior to the celebration at 3.00 pm. Rev. Fr Stany Pereira, Parish Priest of Bela Parish, Sr Florine, the ward animator, Mrs Cicilia D Souza, PPC Secretary, Bro. Aaron, Regent were the guests of honour. Mr Basil Monteiro, the ward Gurkar, Mrs Elizabeth D Souza, the ward representative and all the members of the ward were present on this occasion.

Mr Basil Monteiro welcomed the gathering. The programme was inaugurated by lighting of the lamp. The annual report of the ward activities was read by Ms Divya Crasta.

The meritorious students in the S.S.L.C. Examinations, Sharon Crasta and Glenisha D Souza were honoured. Sr Florine, Mrs Cicilia and Br Aaron expressed their wishes to the ward members on the occasion of their feast. Fr Stany Pereira, the Parish Priest of Bela, appreciated the exemplary works of the ward members and delivered his message on this festal occasion. Ms Delma Crasta proposed the vote of thanks. Mrs Elizabeth Crasta compered the programme. The children and the youth of the ward entertained all with their dance performances. The celebration concluded with everyone partaking in the dinner.
