"NEW YEAR CELEBRATIONS" at Bela Parish

The New Year Mass with the feast of Mary, Mother of God, was celebrated on 31st December, 2022 at Bela Church. Church witnessed a large gathering of faithful.

The adoration was held at 7.00pm to thank God for His blessings and for pouring His grace in tough times in the past year, the faithful of Our Lady of Dolours Church, Bela, gathered at the church on the New Year Eve. Rev. Fr. Stany Pereira, Parish Priest, led the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.

Rev. Fr. Naveen Crasta, newly ordained priest for Diocese of Jamshedpur presided over the Eucharist. Fr Anil Avild Lobo and Rev Fr Stany Pereira were the concelebrants. Rev. Fr. Anil Avild Lobo preached the wonderful homily.

The end of 2022 also marked the end of the tenure of current Parish Pastoral Council. After the Eucharistic celebration, Mr. John Crasta, the outgoing Vice President of the PPC and Ms. Jyothi DSouza, the outgoing secretary of the PPC were honoured by Rev. Fr Stany Pereira, Parish Priest for their selfless service to the parish in the past three years. Subsequently, Mr. Cyril Crasta, the new Vice President and Mrs. Cicilia D’Souza, the new Secretary, took oath. They too were honoured by the Parish Priest. It was followed by the members of PPC and members of Parish finance committee took the oath. It was concluded by distributing the sweets which was sponsored by the newly ordained priest, Rev. Fr. Naveen Crasta.
