ICYM Bela Unit organizes Tug of War Competition for parishioners

The ICYM Bela unit conducted a tug-of-war inter-ward competition on the occasion of the titular feast of Our Lady of Dolours on Sunday, 15th September 2024, in the church grounds after the festal mass. A total of 8 wards participated in the men's section and 4 wards in the women's section.

The competition was inaugurated by the parish priest, Rev. Fr. Stany Pereira, along with Rev. Fr. Rocky Fernandes, PPC Vice President Mr. Cyril, Secretary Mrs. Cicilia, Br. Aaron, Regent, Sr Ashwini and Sr Florine the representatives of the two convents who tugged off the rope to kick off the event. The matches began with a draw, followed by the subsequent rounds.

Each team was restricted to 7 members. In the men's section, the winner was Seethangoli, and the runners-up were Kuntikana. In the women's section, Periadka B took the top spot, while Bela secured the runners-up position.
